Now this sample pack is one sweet deal. For under 30 bucks, you get 883 mb of sounds. That's 497 24 Bit samples, with 287 Loops between 115-126 Bpm, and 192 one Shot House Samples. Also included are 59 patches for Reason NNXt, Halion, EXS, SFZ and Kontakt soft samplers. Ableton Live Pack, Reason Refill and Apple Loops versions are also available to purchase separately.
In detail this supreme House sample collection contains 47 Dance Floor Ready Bass Loops, 32 Clubbed Up Drum Loops, 97 Inspirational Music Loops and Melodies, 53 Add on Percussive Loops, 52 Top Loops, 7 Vocal Loops, 115 Single House Drum One Shot Samples, 26 Dance FX, 34 Instrument One Shots, 10 Bass Single Shots and 6 Vocal FX . Right, so far for the specs, now let's find out how all this actually sounds.
We tested this pack in Ableton Live 7 and used a third-party soft sampler on the side. The thing that surprised us first was the incredibly crisp clear sound of the samples. Ever spent hours leveling the basics of your bass? Those days are over, as this pack offers a collection of one shot samples for instant use. The instruments and FX are top-of-the-bill too, but what really makes this pack stand out from the crowd are its amazing set of loops. There's almost 300 of 'em right here, all of which sound solid. Just drag 'em into your productions, throw in the EQs, add some fx and off you go.
Our verdict:
Alex Niggemann's sample pack is a must-have collection for dance producers who aren't afraid of using pre-made loops into their productions. The separate, one-shot samples are really great, but the loops in this pack take the grand prize. Available now.
