Berlin Festival Announces First ActsWritten by the B&B Crew Tuesday, 03 May 2011 13:13 News - The Berlin Festival 2011, running from September 9th till 10th, will once again be held at Flughafen Tempelhof. But to spice things up a little, the festival will be taking over venues all across the city this year.
Amongst the first confirmed acts are a wide array of artists. Suede will be taking over the mainstage and Primal Scream will be celebrating their Screamadelica anniversary. The band’s widely acclaimed third album will turn 20 this year and to mark the occasion they will be performing the entire LP at Berlin Festival. Furthermore Beirut, Hercules and Love Affair, dEUS, Santigold, Buraka Som Sistema, Pantha Du Prince, Diplo and a whole bunch of others will climb the stage at the 48 hour festival. Besides the performances at Flughafen Tempelhof, Berlin Festival will flock all over the city this year. Under the name of Club Xberg, you can explore the city and get free entry into over 30 participating clubs including Arena Berlin, Arena Club and Glashaus. For the complete Berlin festival experience including the Club Xberg package, you only need one ticket: the Berlin Music Week ticket. This ticket will grant you daily access to the festival terrain (Flughafen Tempelhof) from noon to midnight and all the participating clubs, including free public transport. For those not to keen on public transport there will be a free shuttle service going from Tempelhof directly to the Kreuzberg venues as well.
