Argy Debuts His Zodiac Free Arts Club ProjectWritten by the B&B Crew Wednesday, 04 May 2011 10:33 News - Argy just released his first LP as Zodiac Free Arts Club entitled Floating World. The project sees Greek producer and jock step out of his comfort zone and create a more ambient and atmospheric sound.
The LP has been recorded in Berlin and it took Argy about 7 months to complete his Floating World with only vintage equipment. The tech-house producer got his inspiration from the legendary 60’s and 70’s kosmische/krautrock sounds, ambient pioneers such as Klaus Schulze and avant-rock groups, resulting in a sound he himself descibres as “joyful psychedelic underground”. The Zodiak Free Arts Lab moniker comes from an influential club based in West Berlin that played a role in the start of the kosmische sound; Zodiak Free Arts Lab. The club, co-founded by Conrad Schnitzler who later participated in the Cluster duo, provided artists with an array of instrument to play with and hosted performances by Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Tempel and many other. Zodiac Free Arts Club is released by Permanent Vacation and available now. Check out the Junoplayer below to take a listen yourself. Tracklist1. Celephais 2. N.A.O.E. 3. Lindos Express 4.
