Applescal’s Mishmash Of Changing MoodsWritten by the B&B Crew Sunday, 28 February 2010 15:19 SpotlightDutch prodigy Applescal (Pascal Terstappen to his folks) is about to release his second artist album on April 19th. Entitled A Mishmash Of Changing Moods, the album will see a release on Applescal’s home label Traum Schallplatten. The Beatsandbeyond crew went bananas upon listening to his first album A Slave’s Commitment back in 2008. A thrilling blend of IDM, electronica, filthy acid stabs and nasty jacking tech house, the release saw Pascal being catapulted to international recognition while De:Bug magazine dubbed him 2010’s break through artist. Can’t possibly argue with that.
A Mishmash Of Changing Moods has been put together using a more conceptional production method, which has lead to 14 brand new gems that all carry that trademarked Applescal sound while also showcasing his developments in producing genre-bending music. We recently got our mitts on an upfront copy and we can’t say anything else than that the youngster delivered again. Classy, cinematic and dynamic electronic music that will be stuck in your CD-player for months to come!
Watch out for a full review of the album soon!
