An Ark For The Listener By Philip JeckWritten by the B&B Crew Monday, 19 July 2010 15:00 News - Since the early 80's Philip Jeck has been using turntables and old vinyl to extract his sounds from. His albums are remarked by a very unorthodox production just as well: take his previous album Sand for example. This one has been put together using records he found in a donation bin, supplemented with heavily affected keyboard and other found sound sources. His new album is said to be a meditation on a passage from a 19th century poem by Gerard Manley Hopkins entitled "The Wreck Of The Deutschland". Quite conceptual again indeed... Tracklist
