Abe Duque & Blake Baxter Party At Wang - Twice!

imageNews -

Proper acid electro bash Wang have pulled off a serious coup – Sat 31st July sees them take over London's Fabric’s Room 2, then Sunday  1st August sees them at Dalston Superstore, both times with Abe Duque & Blake Baxter in tow. Amaze...

Wang is a regular haunt of Tom ‘Squarepusher’ Jenkinson and A Guy Called Gerald, but even so they’ve outdone themselves with this line-up. Abu Duque’s been making acid-influenced house and techno since 1993 (and was a resident of NYC’s infamous Limelight club), while Blake Baxter has been called ‘the most underrated figure’ of Detroit’s early techno scene, while also beginning his  production career in the early 90s. And anyone who’s heard their wonderful track What Happened will know the kind of beautiful beats these two make together.

Abe and Blake will play a joint live set at Fabric, alongside Post Human (who launches his album, Syn Emergence, on the night with another live set), plus there’s DJ sets from electro don Bass Junkie and Electro Elvis – aka Wang co-promoter Nathan Hernando.

But that’s not all; the following Sunday night sees Wang host a special afters at excellent club/bar Dalston Superstore. This much more intimate (if no less noisy) bash sees old Wang pal Andrew Weatherall join the fun alongside Abe and Blake, who play back-to-back. Plus DJ support from Ben Lyford, Simon Busby and Electro Elvis too.  Book Monday off now, before it’s too late!
