Melt! is back with a slamming line-up for its 2010 edition. July 13th sees Massive Attack, Villalobos, Booka Shade, Carl Craig and many more travel to the idyllic town soon-to-be-overrun-by-rave-loonies- Gräfenhainichen, Germany.
For those of you who don’t know, Melt! is one of the planet’s highest acclaimed festivals with one of the best lineups you can think of. Each year the organisation manages to put amazing artists spread over all three days, and this year is no exception. Next to the artists mentioned above, DJ Shadow, Fake Blood, Sinden and audio visual performer Chris Cunningham (director of Aphex Twin's Windows licker) amongst so many others will hit the stage to do their thang.
But it doesn’t stop there. A handful of artists have been asked to host a stage of their own with the freedom to invite whoever they like. Modeselektor for example hosts a stage and has Four Tet, Jackmaster, Martyn, Kode 9 and Jamie XX on the roster. At the same festival Ostgut Ton is inviting the whole Berghain and Panorama Bar's team over. Sweet!
