A Guy Called Gerald Goes Jazz (Or Does He?)Written by the B&B Crew Thursday, 25 March 2010 20:01 NewsBerlin must have had quite an impact on the man. Well, that doesn’t surprise us the least to be honest. Fact is that ANY news coming from the underground maestro is enough to have us roaming the net at night for a preview. Anyway, the forthcoming album builds upon the powerful foundations established with the Proto Acid release, while this time Gerald further explores the legacy of authentic Chicago house and Detroit techno in an oldschool minimal way. And we all know that’s right up Gerald’s alley… Tronic Jazz: The Berlin Sessions will contain 13 stand-alone tracks (so all you DJs, take notice!) remarked by effective use of rattling analogue drum computers, vintage synthesizers and fat slices of dirty retro funk straight from the dark streets of the aforementioned cities. Add Gerald’s decades of experience and incredible studio talent to that and you’re got yourself all you can wish for… Tronic Jazz: The Berlin Sessions will be released on May 15th on Laboratory Instinct. Watch out for our review of the album this weekend! Tronic Jazz: The Berlin Sessions tracklist: 1. People Moover 2. Nuvo Alfa 3. Flutter 4. Iland 5. Just Soul 6. The Dip 7. Round Eco 8. Dirty Trix 9.
