Rocking into the night with all the strength and aggression they could muster, alternative/punk/emo rockers Taking Back Sunday steamrolled their way through Tempe, Arizona with a packed house at The Marquee Theatre on Saturday, July 2, 2011 leaving only remnants of exhausted and satisfied fans. Formed in 1999 in Long Island, New York Taking Back Sunday founding member, Eddie Reyes, has managed to keep the group's soul alive with a consistent flow of new albums and energized road tours across the country. Currently traveling across the U.S. as headliners with supporting bands Colour Revolt and Thursday this summer supporting their self-titled album, these master musicians are conveying such powerful airwaves as they’re making concert revelers' ears bleed.
Lead guitarist, Eddie Reyes jammed the night away while expending all his energy on wild, passionate guitar riffs. Lead vocalist, Adam Lazzara enthusiastically belted out the words to their musical anthems in unison with backing vocalist and guitarist, John Nolan. Shaun Cooper, bassist and Mark O’Connell, drummer integrated the percussion of the band by utilizing zest and vitality. Avid fans were lucky enough to hear many of Taking Back Sunday’s greatest hits including the following songs: “Faith (When I Let You Down)”, “Liar (It Takes One To Know One)”, “Cute Without The E (Cut From The Team)”, “Spin”, “This Is All Now”, and the super, smash hit “MakeDamnSure”. Taking Back Sunday is a band to be reckoned with as they leave their mark from city to city. Check them out as they make their appearance at a venue near you.
