Coachella Festival Competes with the Icelandic Volcano!

It's mid April, and alternative rock fans around the globe know what that means. It's time for the annual Coachella Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California. Who knew there was going to be a devastating eruption of an active volcano in Iceland the day before the event?

While some bands weren't fortunate enough to fly from Europe to California to perform, those in attendance this year were able to catch an amazing assortment of musical talent such as: Tiesto, Spoon, David Guetta, Orbital, Jay-Z, Muse, Pavement, Bassnectar, Richie Hawtin (Plastikman), Them Crooked Vultures, Thom Yorke, Gorillaz, and many more.

Check out Benny Benassi behind the console spinning his records for all to enjoy! Give it up for the "Supermassive Black Hole" musicians, Muse, and their supermassive performance! Johnny "Rotten" Lydon returns with a bang and resurrects Public Image Limited from the grave! Ian McCulloch and Echo & The Bunnymen bring back their unforgettable hits from the 1980's! Little Dragon (Yukimi Nagano) from Sweden brings her melodic, soothing lyrics to the masses! Who would want to miss such an R&B, funk legend like Sly Stone, performing his memorable tunes on the last day of the three day festival?! Richie Hawtin (a.k.a. Plastikman) presented a psychedlic trip with his techno sounds and superb light show! There aren't too many performers as charismatic as the one and only, Jay-Z, who gave us a show to remember with guest performers: Memphis Bleek and Beyonce! The great Dutch DJ, Tiesto, needs no explanation since he is truly the best in his class!

Make your plans to come out to the desert of Indio, California next April to enjoy the Coachella Music & Arts Festival! You'll be completely ecstatic you did!
