Right, so we have Robag Wruhme, Extrawelt, John Selway, Filippo Mancinelli & Allen May’s all squeezed on to one vinyl. That’s gotta be a good thing, right?




Damn straight. Up next on Silicone Soul’s Darkroom Dubs label is this sweet ass remix EP, on which Extrawelt’s Neuland and Filippo & Allen May’s The Hills get remixed by Robag Whrume and John Selway respectively. Robag’s up first, dropping two remixes of Neuland. His first rework is a dark, haunting and intriguingly beauty of a (deep) house tune packed with oddly shaped fx and original percussive elements. His second remix is a much darker stomper fueled by mid-tempo beats, weird sound fx and a great overall balance between bass and percussion. Another very well produced tune, but you can leave that up to Mr. Wruhme. Closing things is John Selway, whose Dub remix of The Hills is a trippy techno monster with great reverb waves, some very nice twists, and a great overall vibe.

Our verdict:
Let’s hear it for this one. Robag’s Wruhme’s remixes are superb, but John Selway’s delivery is definitely worth company. Killer cut alert!
