TORB is Fabien & Julien Torb, two guys from Paris' Motorbass Studio where Julien works as an engineer and Fabien as a craftman of modular synths. Their sound is best described as French techno in the tradition of Cassius (how surprising...), and Agoria, with nods to Justice and Deetron.

The EP opens with the pulsating synth waves of Forever Young, a mesmerizing beat-less piece of electronica, after which Dipendenza De La Stella continues with a rocking piece of mid-tempo electro/disco. Its sequencing, flow, and use of clear crisp sounds turn the track into a intriguing and very special piece of club material. The break may be a bit simple, it certainly means business and will make every clubber in the place partaking in a game of touch-the-ceiling. Closing track Rubidrama is the hottest track to be found here, as it brings along a chunky electro groove that transcends from static into haunting, with electro bass and bells forming an extremely sick combo. Very trippy, but incredibly powerful.

Our verdict:
We'd definitely like to hear more from these guys in, hopefully, the very near future. It's a bit of an odd EP, but we take the bet it will amaze you.
