Tim Green - Old Sunshine

imageEP Review
25-year old Tim Green has been providing DJs the world over with a series of a-grade tunes over the past few months. His latest cut Old Sunshine is about to be released on the mighty Get Physical label.

Title: Old Sunshine
Artist: Tim Green
Label: Get Physical
Release date: May 12th, 2010

This three-tracker kicks in harder than the nicotine of your first cigarette after you just quit for a month. Opening track is a dandy piece of tech-house with a sweaty shaker-driven rhythm and some nice exotic vox on top. The track builds up towards a club-detroying climax in which the many drum sounds form a nasty rocking ensemble. Track 2, Flote, is one for the tech-house minded, taking things to a dubby level with repetitive uptempo beats and a freaky breakdown. Definitely worth checking out if you're into dubhouse or whatever it is they call it these days. Closing the EP is a dub version of Old Sunshine. Nice as an extra.

Tim Green drops another chunky EP that will undoubtedly find its way to the demanding DJs again. Don't miss it. 7.5/10
