Sasse & Phonogenic - Tangential EP

imageDisco/House -
Following up the recent massive singles from James Teej & The Model, My Favorite Robot Records set sail with a brand new release from Sasse & Phonogenic featuring the aforementioned James Teej on vocal duties...

We've heard some cool stuff in the past from both Sasse (Germany) and Phonogenic (Finland, and still being held in very high regard here for his massive electro disco slammer Togetha),  and now the two of them team up and pull in James Teej too for a collab. Teej also takes care of one of the remixes,w hile the other rework is delivered by Emerson Todd.

The original mix is a vivid little banger that mixes Sasse's trademarked house beats to Phonogenic's playful disco-style basslines. The vocal's add a sweet poppy vibe to this very bouncy fuse of house and electro-disco. The Bass Dub leaves out the vocals and focuses more on the bass and chords, after which Emerson Todd turns the tune into a real funky affair supported by an irresistible bassline that runs through the entire track. Catchy, very well done. James Teej's own remix closes the EP in the form of a mix of soulful New York-styled house and nu-disco fx with the end result being a glowing house tune with a very warm vibe.

Our verdict:
Cool stuff. Each track on this release is able to do the damage in the clubs, but if I had to choose I'd go for either the James Teej or Emerson Todd remix. F*ck it, I'd go for both really. Anyway, what it all comes down to is that this is definitely an EP worth blowing your dough on, hands down.simple as that.
