Roel Salemink - Silenth Noises EPWritten by Youri Jozee House/Techno - Roel has been releasing a series of might fine melodic techno cuts before, but this one might be his finest work to date. The original mix of Silenth Noises is a rumbling piece of Detroit techno fueled by a static melody and supported by heavy kicks and a series of psyched out fx. The biggest strength of the track is the way the breakdown builds up to the climax, which is one for the big rooms. Robert Hood's mix is a stripped-down version that bears his no-fucking-around minimal signature, while Roger Martinez' rework turns to rocking progressive, with the result being awesome. Orocanle is a punchier, more four-to-the floor techno-based tune with a massively rumbling bass as its engine. The many twists and turns in this track make it a solid pick for when you absolutely, positively have to thrill every motherfucker in the room. Closing the EP is the Pascal Kastel & Steve Ward remix of Orocanle, a more housy approach remarked by a series of great synth patterns and effecting. Roel's latest contribution to the house and techno scene has become another one that gets you value for money. All tracks add their own ingredients to the mix, with the result being a very dynamic package that will cater to a lot of quality appreciating' folks.
