Robert Babicz - The Feeling EP

imageHouse -
Following the bulky and deeper sound of the Remote Kiss EP comes the latest record from Robert Babicz, to be released on his newly launched label Babiczstyle, named The Feeling.

Consisting of a total of 4 tracks it reveals a new and somewhat different side of his style and creative work, with a softer and suave feel. From the 'playful' dubby basslines, through groovy drum patterns, to the soulful piano stabs. Each track is diligently assembled through a variety of instruments to eventually end up into a terse structure of lively tunes.

The Feeling leaves the impressions of a live performance, which is understandable having in mind that most of Robert Babicz's live sets are improvisations. I just have to mention the Warm Rain (Vocal Mix) which goes under number 3 in the playlist and really complements that funky vibe of the record. I guess we could say Robert's career, spanning over nearly two decades, contributes for the overall more 'mature sound' of the EP.

Teasing your imagination, taking you from one place to another. You could be in your car driving, or at home doing stuff, or maybe at a club observing the crowd dancing around. You could spin this record literally anywhere and it fits in. Nothing too intrusive, just making you aware of it's presence. Personally I feel it is pointed towards the wide public, not strictly fans of the electronic music. Thumbs up.

Conclusion: Nothing too intrusive, just making aware of it's presence. Definately worth the attention.
