Quivver - Yeah Yeah

imageEP Review
John Digweed's Bedrock label keeps on releasing the one slammer after another. Next on its release roster is a new 3-track EP by world-renowned DJ/producer/song-writer Quivver.

Roughly described, Quivver's sound is a tasty mixture of progressive and electrohouse in which, amon many other aspects, the overall production quality of production is ever present. The EP opens with Yeah Yeah, a deep, haunting piece of progressive with minimal elements and many well balanced vox and sound effects. The break is like a storm approaching, covering the sequence in a swirl of electricity and sound waves. Boom Boom is more moody, soaring prog stomper with growling bass and a more techy approach to things. Great job, fantastically produced. In your Boat is definitely the most 'commercial' of the three yet it is also the finest cut on this EP, spawning series of playful melodies, chunky John Dahlback-style beats and sunny, BT-esque vocals. One for the festivals.

Bedrock and Quivver deliver again, it's as simple as that. Great EP, fab production, the work of a very skilled man.
