Psycatron - Celestial Symphony Remixes (Tronic)

imageHouse/Techno -
Irish duo Psycatron are among the hottest names in progressive techno at the moment, which perfectly explains this Celestial Symphony remix EP on Christian Smith's Tronic label. Reworking the tune are Supernova and Secret Cinema...

Psycatron
's deep, melodic yet fierce techno have caught the attention of Dave Clarke's, Joris Voorn and Depeche Mode's Martin L. Gore as well as thousands of followers the world over. Their recently released tune Celestial Symphony's another banger from the hands of the boys, and this remix package certainly doesn't do the tune any harm. Defected's Supernova reshapes the tune into a very sophisticated chunk of house with stabby keys and warm, glowing bass topped on punchy beats and shuffling cymbals. A very powerful house approach and definitely one to go after if you're a house fanatic.

Secret Cinema turns in two remixes, the first being a superb techno rework featuring the distinctive synth from the original. Entrancing strings and raw pumping beats complement this stunning remix which will definitely find its way to the floors. His second mix is dubbed 'Sunday Afternoon', and is a more subtle, dubby rework with oldschool house grooves and overwhelming synthesizers. Very nice stuff.

On the overall this remix package is well worth raiding your online dealer for. Each remix is a completely different approach to the original without a moment of insult to be heard. Great release.
