O/V/R - Post-Traumatic Son (Robert Hood & DVS1 Remixes)

Having previously handed the remix treatment to Berlin’s Ben Klock, Blueprint now continue the remix series of ‘Post-Traumatic Son’ by O/V/R (James Ruskin and Regis), with remixes by Robert Hood and DVS1.

This is the kind of stuff we dig the most here at BnB. Following up on the recently released and utterly stunning O/V/R/ remix package are these fresh new reworks by Robert Hood and DVS1. Robert Hood's remix of Post-Traumatic Son is a HUGE, merciless off-beat techno tune with a very well thought out rhythm, acidy bass stabs and a filthy breakdown near the end in which things get really, really out of control. Awesome big room noises.

DVS1's Pessimist Mix is a much deeper, hypnotizing and slightly psychedelic rework with gloomy synths and various percussive layers that altogether form a continuously climaxing flow, while the Optimist remix is a more Detroit-inspired, light-hearted slab of techno funk.

Our verdict:
Awesomeness as far as the eye can see. Robert Hood's remix takes the grand prize, but the DVS1 remixes are certainly not to be left behind. Superb.
