O/V/R/ - Post Traumatic Son (Ben Klock Remixes)

imageTechno -
O/V/R, the production collaboration of two of the leading lights in UK techno, James Ruskin & Regis, released the original version of Post-Traumatic Son last year. Now they hand it over to Berlin’s Ben Klock for three new remixes.

Ben Klock! We're always excited when they throw a bone that tasty our way, and once again we're not being disappointed. Hell, it's been rocking my house (and the neighbour's too) from the blessed moment it popped in the mailbox. Klock drops three remixes here, the first one being his Techno mix which is a naaaaaasty rumbling techno stomper with moody bass stabs and nervousl rattling percs all the way through. Breakdowns are absent, which gives the rhythm more than enough opportunity to unfold. Merciless and very, very well done.

Klocks's Wave mix is an equally mysterious but much deeper and stripped down take on the original, with sine bells and twitchy percussion forming the basis. The track slowly evolves into a rather spooky affair full of aereal melodics. Closing the EP is the Vibe mix which is the most psychedelic of them all. The synths from the original are layered wonderfully well on top of a ruthless techno beat that jacks all the way through. Stuff for those Berlin clubs where the sweat comes dripping off the celing at 06.00 am.

What more can I say that I haven't said already? If you're a fan of well executed techno, and I take it you are, then this one should be purchased upon the second it's on Beatport.
