Nick Warren - Buenos Aires (+ Remixes)Written by Youri Jozee Progressive - Not only is this one Hope's 100th release, it's also a rare solo outing and one of the key tracks on Nick's soon to be released Balance mix. What's even better is that it comes with a batch of juicy remixes. The original is s typical example of Nick's contemporary sound: merging progresive with stomping Bedrock-style house, the tuine builds up to semi-epic heights with luscious synth layers, Detroitian strings and a magnificent breakdown. Dutch man Applescal, known for his IDM-esque electronica delivers a somewhat offbeat piece of slo-mo house in filled with cut-up vox from the original and a great overall vibe. Mike Griegos' remix is a deeper and dubbier tranformation, while Terry Lee Brown Junior closes the EP with a chunky tech-driven house groove with staccato percussion and warm bass stabs. Our verdict: Ace. Rating: 8.0/10 Label: Hope Recordings Release date: Out now Tracklist: 1. Buenos Aires 2. Buenos Aires (Applescal Remix) 3. Buenos Aires (Mike Griegos Deep Mix) 4. Buenos Aires (Terry Lee Brown Junior Mix)
