Murphy Jax drops a funky EP full of 80s synth drenched disco and what not on the My Favorite Rbot label, with additional remixes from Jori Hulkkonen and Dance Disorder...





Berlin based Murphy Jax, who also releases on the almighty Clone label, serves up three original tracks but plus remixes.The mid-paced but sadly not too original electro/disco cut Wings Of A Galaxy Night kicks things off with its 80s synths and heavy bass work, after which Master Of Meta Space (a track sounding like the digital version of Legowelt) takes things to higher levels with a very spacey blend of electro sounds and melodies. The Astro Disco marks the last of the three original recordings with it late 70s / early 80s space disco drums and irresistible vibe.     

On the remix tip we find Jori 'Zyntherius' Hulkkonen who turns Wings Of A Galaxy Night into an ice cold slice of disco, after which Germany's Dance Disorder closes the EP with an awesome techno-esque rework of The Astro Disco.

Our verdict:
An EP for fans of space disco, electro, Clone and everything that has to do with 80s-inspired electronics.
