Dutch techno don Michel De Hey teams up with M.I.R.K.O. on this new EP, which is backed up with a remix by Nic Fanciulli...






The original mix of 5th Business day is a mid-tempo rocker that starts off in a housy way but slowly tranforms into a more techy cut. The tune revolves around a simple bassline, witha  variety of proggy elements being added along the way. It's catchy, it's vivid, the melody in the middle part is very nice, but as a whole it's nothing too much out of the ordinary.

Nic Fanciulli's mix stays true to the original but is coated in an even techier and much more powerful groove. The original melodies are well sampled and carefully merged with the stomping kicks and percussions, creating a solid rework bursting with energy.

The original is dandy, but the remix takes the prize. A nice package for house and tech heads.
