With the full album itself hitting stores soon, Mauro Picotto first presents the official TwentyEleven album sampler...





Mauro has been offering previews of his upcoming album since March with singles Monogram and Manipulator, both of which were very fierce techno belters in typical Picotto fashion. This four-track sampler reveals more of what we can expect, kicking off with the mid-tempo Twenty Eleven, a rumbling blend of techno and tech-house in which especially the modulated and vocoded vocals stand out. Following up is Radioactivity, a fast-paced techno stomper with a simple but effective bassline and typical oldschool technoic textures. The third tune, Puzzles, has its moments, but is a bit too basic to make a difference, after which Hart Plaza closes the sampler with a very playful and melodic sequence that has the word'festival' written all over itself.

Our verdict:
Just like the preceding singles, this sampler really makes us looking forward to the final album. Solid, beefy techno stuff.
