Matthias Vogt - Ghost Train EP

Fullbar Digital teams up with Motorcitysoul co-founder Matthias Vogt for its next release, which is complemented with a remix from one of Canada’s leading names: James Teej.
Up first is title track Ghost Train, a track that opens like any other minimal tune but slowly evolves into a warmer tune, although things remain stripped throughout. A bit too monotone for our tastes, despite its mint production. The second cut on this EP is Rudiments, a much richer and melodic deep house tune with vivid bass tones and a very nice summer groove to it that will defo put a smile on festival faces. Closing the package is James Teej’s Periodic Table remix of Rudiments, a heavy, beat-driven deep houser with several layers of bass, strings and synths that make up an atmospheric piece of pure club material.
Our verdict:
Decent is the key word here. Although the title track isn’t that superb, Rudiment and its rerub are well worth a listen if you’re into the deeper side of house music.
