Mark Henning & Den - Cosmic Marmalade EP

imageTech-house -

Mark Henning and Den return to Soma with a brand new four-tracker...

This Cosmic Marmalade -what's in a name- EP has already garnered massive support from some of the biggest names out there and we can see why. Things kick off with the title track, a shuffling tech-house groove powered by a ph-fat bassline and a pulsating synth melody. It may sound cold, but trust us when we say this belter is capable of setting any floor ablaze at any given moment. The second track, Sin City, is a warmer, deep house-styled piece of club tunage that lacks a bit of tension to stay interesting, but follow-up track Canis Major strikes back with a dark, haunting groove and playful melodies. Huge. Driving Andromeda closes the EP with a techno-orientated groove and several electro-synth arps that will definitely do the business when played loud.

Our verdict:
Punchy stuff is what we get to hear on this EP, and we love it. Another ace release from Henning & Den, who prove that they're among the most versatile producers in the tech-house league.
