One of this year's breakthrough artists delivers a dark and seductive slab of house moodiness.

2011 has been an exceptionally good year for Maceo Plex, who has been releasing several huge tracks on Crosstown Rebels, Visionquest and Hot Creations amongst others while also having remixed the likes of Azari & III and DJ T. His latest EP has become another daunting showcase of the man's moody house sound in the form of two tracks. First up is Stay High Baby, an extremely well put together piece of (deep) house music with fantastic vocal bits, filthy bass stabs and subtle tones in the background. Despite several false tones here and there this simply is one exciting house track. Ain't That Love is a much rougher cut that builds up to a deep and futuristic sounding ensemble of sounds and effect, generating a unique vibe in the process.

Our verdict:
Maceo Plex proves once again why he is one of house music's finest new talents. Amazing.
