Livio & Roby - TributeWritten by Youri Jozee EP Review - The duo has made it to the big league with a batch of hot EPs that ended up in the bags of every slef-respecting tech-house DJ. Their new EP, a four-tracker, is a nasty bumpin' affair on which we geat to hear another load of the duo's delicate beats mixed with vintage beats from the early days of house music. The A1, 'Sunday Offend', is a rather monotone but very colourful rocker with a suble laidback Chicago-ish vibe near the end, while 'Stapanu Intergalactic' goes fully oldschool with warm Detroit grooves and a truly brilliant rhythm. We're not really sure what to think of the weird vocal work in 'Tribute' but the rhythm itself is a rather solid one. Closing track 'Garaghivirap' is very Loco Dice. Watch out for that nasty hitting snaredrum. We've heard better from the guys, but this EP is definitely worth checking out nonetheless. Just four solid tracks for the oldschool appreciating audience. Rating: 7/10 Label: Desolat Release date: August 2010 A1. Sunday Offend A2. Stapanu Intergalactic B1. Tribute B2. Garaghivirap
