Futureboogie Recordings' very first release comes from label head Julio Bashmore who drops a warm and mellow Chicago-esque house EP.






The original mix of Father Father is a glowing pice of soulful house music with warm pads, flutes and typical vocals by Javeon McCarthy. With plenty of breaks and twists along the way, the tune as a whole is a very charming cut tailored for the summer season. The instrumental version proves that this track doesn't necessarily need the vocals to be awesome. Closing the EP is Craboon, a house tune that at some points refer to the house sound at the end of last century (which is a recommendation) with swirling synths and a nice dubby feel to it. The broken beat structure is lovely too.

Our verdict:
Futureboogie's maiden release is definitely one to consider if you're into the soulful side of house music. Sunshine grooves extraordinaire.
