Amsterdam based DJ/producer Juan Sanchez returns with a fresh EP on the established Kling Klong label. And he’s brought Kabale Und Liebe a.o. for remix duties. Nice.
Juan’s new EP has become a five-tracker, including two remixes by Kabale Und Liebe and El Mundo & Satori. The original mix of The Awareness Of Her Appearance is a lowdown heavy piece of tech-house funk driven by shuffling percussion and chunky beats, while the cut up vocals add a bit of a oldschool vibe to the overall. Near the end things get a bit more Funk D’Void-ish with a series of well placed synths and rumbling bass. A very effective cut for the clubs. Kabale Und Liebe’s remix is a more deeper and dubby affair, although it most certainly doesn’t leave out on club destruction potential. A bit smoother, but definitely worth a spin.

Movin’ is a more rougher, techno-orientated tune fueled by deep basslines and a plethora of drums that provide the tune with an effective big room sound. Biggest attraction here is the breakdown and the climax. El Mundo & Satori turn this track into a warmer piece of deep house with glowing synths and proggy effects decorating a beefy rhythm. Closing the EP is Indigo, a seriously stomping heavy hitting house tune with serious injections of electro-sounding bass and beats.

Juan has dropped another ace EP featuring five bombs that are all worth checking out. Quality tech-house for demanding fanatics.
