Watch that EDEC label boys and girls. The label has been right on the money with their previous releases, and their latest one is no different. Jon Hester's Shouts In The Dark is a super heavy beats of a techno stomper that revolves around a rather stripped basis with ever changing soundscapes, dubby fx and loads of reverb. The result is a killer tune with dub influences here adn there, just perfect for the clubs. Leave it up to DVS1 to drop a seriously butt-slapping remix. Er, make that two. First up is the Found In The Light Remix, a warm but mysterious techno tune with vintage synth elements, while the Lost In The Dark remix is a very sinister, shadowy rework of the original fueled by uptempo kicks and a druggy vibe. Oof...

Our verdict:
It's dark, it's dubby, it's cleverly put together. We love it.
