John Digweed & Nick Muir - Satellite / Meteor

imageEP Review -

After their inclusion on John's genius Structures compilation, both Satellite as Meteor will be released early August on Bedrock on a two-track vinyl. It's Digweed & Muir with another two slices of their beloved progressive house sound.

The 9+-minute Satellite is a great hypnotising piece of progressive material. It's a tune that takes its time to build up, adding a variety of well balanced sounds in the process, only to evolve in a mid-tempo beach roker full of deep bass and waving pads.

Meteor turns things up a bit with a more uptempo rhythm, darker sounds and a pulsating bassline that forms the track's basis. The track as a whole is much dubbier, a bit moodier and could be a great DJ-tool in the hands of skilled DJs.

Bedrock#92 has become a work marked by great craftmanship. Both tracks carry that signature Digweed & Muir sound and that alone should trigger you to loot Beatport.
