James What - About Love (Crosstown Rebels)

imageHouse -
James What steps up with his first solo release for Crosstown Rebels with an emotive pair of dancefloor weapons in ‘About Love’.

About Love is a very melodic deep house tune relying on steady kicks, mild claps and layers of gentle bells and tones with the result being a suave floor detroyer for peak time action. Don't expect any wild fx or anything, it's just very, very smooth. On the flipside, A Target For The Scene is a more uptempo deep house cut that more or less follows the same lines as its predecessor, although this one seems to be designed for early hours of the nights. A great track, nothing too fancy, but a nice set builder nonetheless.

Our verdict:
James What delivers two solid grooves for the deeper side of clubbing. Quality stuff, but nothing we haven't heard before.
