Gregor Tresher - Lights From The Inside (Remixes)

imageTechno -

Gregor Tresher drops a remix package of his recently released Lights From The Inside album with contributions by Dosem, Nick Curly, Function, Nic Fanciulli and Patrick Siech.

After garnering international praise for his album, Gregor now steps up to deliver the first few remixes conceived by befriended artists. First up is Nic Fanciulli, who drops a deep remix of Frontline that relies heavily on its extremely catchy rhythm and a handful of very well constructed breaks. Function's mix of Through The Shadow Glass is a punchy techno rework with staccato beats and repetitive bass stabs for basement clubs, while Dosem turns Lights From The Inside into an awesome, highly melodic techno stomper. Definitely the best track of them all. Nick Curly's rework of the same track is a rather dull stripped-down tech house rework that might do well in the clubs, but is no match against Dosem's brilliant version. Closing the EP is Patrick Siech's remix of Echelon, which turns out to be a rather aggresive techno banger fueled by stomping kicks and several solid breaks. A nice closure of a great EP.

Our verdict:
Solid stuff. Pretty much each remix on here is well worth a listen, but we'd recommend Dosem's killer remix any time.
