Gaetano Parisio - Needing Chords

Techno veteran Gaetano Parisio delivers a brand new EP on Unrilis with an additional remix by Rino Cerrone…

Gaetano’s been in the techno game for quite a few years, dropping beefy techno grooves a la Mauro Picotto and Umek as he goes. His latest release comes in the form of Needing Chords, of which the title track (see below) is a dirty little stomper with great fx and a serious breakdown. Cerrone’s remix is considerably more stripped and sounds a bit like Adam Beyer’s latest work, packing huge reverb kicks and a more static, industrial vibe. Fake Stuff, the third track on this EP, is a more playful rocker with some very nice bass work and an awesome melody built in, after which the EP closes with the fierce, ultra-energetic Program Meanings, a superb bomb of a track.

Our verdict:
All killer, no filler, that’s just how Gaetano rolls. This EP is an excellent choice of if you’re looking for hands-in-the-air big room techno.
