Future Beat Alliance - Mourning

imageTechno -
Dirty Tresor techno that kicks like a mule, we hadn't heard that in a while but then Future Beat Alliance came along... and blew us away.

“I played live, alongside Mark Broom at Tresor, testing out all 3 tracks at their early stages to a 500 strong crowd. The response was amazing, so a few days later I developed the tracks in the studio, realizing what needed to be done for full impact!” Yes well, we're not surprised mate: This package is HOT! It has everything a techno freak could possibly wish for: A menacing rolling techno rhythm that takes you back to the early 2000s, warm, overwhelming, trancey chords and a downright EVIL vibe all the way through.

All three tracks on this baby are equally brilliant: Endless Blue is a punchy yet very emotive trip to oceanic depths (just listen to the effects) with countless beautiful synth layers, while Discordant sounds a bit like the Mauro Picotto from 10 years ago, but in a trancier way. Closing track Mourning sports a wobbly Italo bassline but is unmistakably pumping, with the tune as a whole eventually evolving in another techno tearjerker of epic proportions. Don't be fooled though: it's uplifting vibe means business, hands down!

The brilliance of this EP is hard to put into words, so I suggest you simply get your hands on it as soon as it hits the streets. If you're a sucker for epic Tresor techno, you can't afford to skip this one. An EP worth its weight in pure gold.
