Floorplan - Sanctified EP (M-Plant)

For the next release on M-Plant, Robert Hood revisits his Floorplan moniker, delivering 3 new tracks as the ‘Sanctified EP’.
Floorplan is Hoods' excuse for blending his trademarked house to disco, house and soul, something that he has been demonstrating as early as the mid-nineties when this moniker was conceived.
The EP opens with We Magnify His Name, a deepand very soulful piece of house-meets-gospel-meets disco that sounds like it has been made in the late 70s. Chants, superfunky shakers, it's all there and it sounds superb. Baby Baby is a more 21st century piece of house music, coated in an uptempo techno format and riddled with cut-up vox, bass stabs and claps. Again, an extremely catchy track that'll make any floor go ooh-wee. Basic Principle closes this magnificent EP with a heavy hitting piece of Detroit techno.
Our verdict:
More of this please! Robert skillfully blends a shitload of soulfulness into superb house grooves capable of making any crowd go absolutely bonkers. An extremely well put together piece of club carnage.
