Fausto Messina - Caravan EP

imageTech-House -
We must admit we've never heard from the guys before, but if he keeps rocking the way he does on his Caravan EP, we won't mind hearing more from Italian producer Fausto Messina...

Back in his native Italy, Fausto gained a reputation for his production skills and parties in and around Venice. This Caravan EP on the Lust Und Freu.de Musik imprint reflects the man's love for tech-house and techno on this energetic four-tracker. The EP kicks off with Jesa, a drum-riddled house tune fueled by a warm bass and repeating effects. In between the beats we encounter a few very nicely programmed breaks which make this one a smooth banger to play in the clubs. Next up is Circus and this one's where the money's at on this EP. The rhythm alone is very, very exciting but the many horn and flute effects provide it with even more ruggedness. Damn funky, very well done.

The EP ends with two alternative versions of Jesa, the first being a jacking Chicago-ish house affair with jazzy horns and a handful of well placed breaks, and the second being a monster house groove sporting a intense killer bassline that's capable of bringing down the walls in any club.

The Caravan EP has become a big fat club package with overwhelming energy. A sure shot to any DJ.
