Burning is the first track to be released from DJ T's Pleasure Principle album, and is backed up with remixes from Art Department and Redshape.




The Club Mix of Burning is a solid house groover at 118 bpm featuring vocals by Nick Maurer, former frontman of Chicago's Greens Keepers. Fueled by a pulse that sounds like a distant organ and several layers of tribal beats, this one is a sure shot for shady basement clubs. Art Department take the track to dubbier depths with beats being added and removed as the track goes. The middle part is downright funky, by the way. Closing things is Redshape with one of his trademarked fx-fueled deep house/techno compositions on which things get real messy. The best track of them all.

Our verdict:
A great EP for fans of quality deep house and techno. The original is great, but the remixes really finish the job.
