Deetron - Starblazer / Solar Surge

Techno - Whereas Deetron used to drop some of his cuts on sister label Green, he now steps up to deliver his latest outing on Joris Voorn & Edwin Oosterwal’s Rejected imprint.
Deetron serves up two tracks on this one, the first one being Starblazer, a chunky piece of anthemic techno with deep rumbling bass and thick piano keys in the middle part. Nice and warm, but nothing we haven’t heard before. Solar Surge lays down a more tech-house orientated groove with rattling drums and staccato tones as its main melody. Perfect stuff for peak time clubbing action.
Our verdict:
We’ve heard better from Deetron, but that doesn’t mean this EP is worth skipping. It’s still pretty techno dandy, you know.
