Daniele Papini - September Black EP EP ReviewDaniele Papini brings some funky loops into the mix on his latest September Black EP, featuring three new songs, including two remixes. Â Anyone listening to this release is going to have a hard time not getting caught up in the spacy-yet-funky vibe Papini brings, and there's no doubt you'll find yourself bobbing your head along to the music. On "She Evil" (Namito Remix), Papini combines a deep bass line with a well scripted repetitive loop draped over top for effect. It's a combination that just makes you want to move. When you hear it, you can almost picture a club scene, where everyone is in the zone and enjoying this playful, thumping song. Papini also shows us his special brand of trip-hop with "The Third Zone", an entrancing track that entices the senses and, when it's over, leaves the listener wondering "what just happened?" We round out the EP with "September Black", accompanied by a remix of the track from Oliver Klein. Another bass heavy track, except this one is more thoughtful and spiraling than "She Evil". Be prepared for another great release from Daniele Papini, a DJ who rarely disappoints and has certainly proven his talents on the decks. This EP is no exception. I'd recommend it especially for all minimal-heads out there, looking to branch out to the less generic and the more expansive. Tracklist: Rating: 7.5/10
