Ahead of a Shake It summer residency at Amnesia in Ibiza, alongside his DJ/production partner Layo, Bushwacka! releases his first solo release of 2011 - the double-header, Westside/ Energy.

New stuff from these blokes is always something worth looking forward to, an this release is no different. West Side is said to be inspired by Sven Vath's Cocoon nights on Ibiza. It does have that typical German tech-house groove, but we can clealr hear Bushwacka's trademarked sound in it. The track builds up to a synth-riddled climax perfect for the big rooms, while staying low and dirty in its beginning and end. Energy is a midtempo deep-houser with trippy dub bass and a dreamy vibe all the way through. Fit for lazy sundays.

Our verdict:
Bushwacka's latest outings are definitely worth the download. Quality house stuff, very well done.
