Anthony Rother - Man Up The Hill (+Gui Boratto Remix)Written by Youri Jozee House/Electro - The original mix of Man Up The Hill (the title refers to Rio De Janeiro's Christ The Redeemer statue, in case you were wondering) is a nasty piece of Rother's doomy electro, and it's got all the buzzing bass, vintage synths and vox you would expect from the man. Although it's not as catchy as his older tracks such as (we can't help but comparing...) Father and When The Sun Goes Down, it's still a money shot. Gui Boratto's remix perfectly matches his profile as one of the tastemakers in the dreamier regions of house. His rework melts the ice from the cold electro cover and turns it into a much warmer, synth-driven proggy rocker with maximum floor potential. The Radio edit and Instrumental version of Man Up The Hill are nice extras. Rother and Boratto prove that their respective electro and prog house sound can form a great fusion when executed well. And that's exactly what's happening on this EP. Rating: 7.5/10 Label: Clash Music Release date: December 15th, 2010 Tracklist: 1. Original version 2. Gui Boratto remix 3. Instrumental version 4. Radio edit
