Alan Fitzpatrick - Insurgent Series

imageTechno -
Alan Fitzpatrick returns to Drumcode with this six-track EP that follows up his Shadows In The Dark LP.

And there's a lot to enjoy on young Alan's brand new slammer. Opening track Tinitus is a thunderous journey into the depths of big room techno packed with heavy bass pulses, storming synth swirls and a mean groove as its basis. Following up is Sub Dubbed, a much more er... dubby approach to techno. This one is entirely beatless but relies on thick layers of synths and bass to create a spacey vibe, in which it definitely succeeds. Redline draws on a staccato, midtempo groove with rattling fx and cymbals, while the mighty Xenomorph and En Salada returns to the uptempo shuffle vibes and merciless drum hits we've come to know Alan for. Wrapping things up here is Lost And Found, a nicely layered piece of electronica that's full of dark pads and harsh shakers.

Our verdict:
Alan's latest EP has become another recommendation to fans of both big room as dubby techno. All killer, no filler.
