BnB Presents We Are E | Loops PodcastWritten by the B&B Crew Podcast - The Dutch duo and live-act Loops have skyrocketed to fame all around Holland over the last few years. The story begins at a bash in Boris and Sebastiaan’s hometown, Amersfoort. The two had known each other for a very long time but hadn’t seen or spoke to each other for 16 years until they finally met again at Minimaal Kabaal. Their shared love for music brought them together once again and soon they were performing and producing music. After a string of productions and gigs the two were scouted by the Amsterdam based label Outland. It was on this legendary label the two released their first official EP entitled Tuner, back in December 2008. After this first EP another release on Darko Esser’s Wolfskuil Records followed and this year they have released their third on Neovinyl. All of their productions are widely supported by renowned artists such as Karotte, Len Faki, Joris Voorn, Michel De Hey, Slam, Laurent Garnier and many more. Besides producing the two are performing as a live act as well. In the three years they have been performing now, they have climbed the stages at Time Warp NL, Mr. Stubnitz, Cocoon goes Amsterdam, Mysteryland, Studio 80 and even abroad in clubs like Make Up Club (Antwerp) and the legendary Harry Klein Club. For this week the two have recorded an awesome podcast, but before you dive into it make sure you check out the short interview we did! Hey guys, how are you? Anything to tell our readers about this podcast before they hit play? We were a bit short on the beginning of Loops in our intro, could you tell us some more about how Loops was formed and what happened right after starting? Then, 16 years later it was just one phonecall to Sebastiaan. I (Boris) needed someone to play live at one of my DJ-sets. My dad told me Sebas could play the piano. Then the whole DJ-set idea faded and we just made music for two weeks in my chamber in Amersfoort. After those two weeks we had one hour of drum/piano/efx/bass-loops on a laptop and Sebastiaan jamming live on a keyboard. Loops was 'born'. Once started we ended up producing 24/7. This lead to being scouted for Outland records and WAE (Squz then) after which things really got started. That's about 4 years ago now… Any cool news, previews or gossip we have not covered yet?
