After the first edition in our BnB Presents We Are E podcast series by Arjuna Schiks, this week sees Johanna Mercker on duty. Check out her slamming podcast right after the break!

Johanna Mercker has been in to music since she was a child. At the age of six she started to take piano lessons. Years of classical training followed, but when she discovered electronic music she soon realized it was much easier to focus on that then on her weekly hours of studying piano.

She embarked on a trip thru the many facets of electronic music. From trance through hardstyle and hardcore to techno, her genre of choice till today. After moving to Haarlem she soon met Michael 'Ille Bitch' von Lierop. A local DJ which was making a name for himself all around the Netherlands. Johanna went a long on many of his gigs all around the country and soon decided she wanted to mix as well. Michael became her mentor and after only weeks of practice she scored her first gig at the Haarlem based Club Stalker. Her set at the Club Stalker impressed many, and her career rocketed in to the sky. Within a year after her try to beat match she was playing in clubs like Doornroosje, Club Rembrandt, Studio 80, Club Poema and many more all over the country!

Hello Johanna, how are you? Anything you want to say to our readers before they check out you podcast?
Hey! I'm fine, thanks for asking. This podcast is a reflection of what I like to play in the clubs at the moment. I hope you all will enjoy listening to it ;)

How did you become part of the We Are E family?
I became part of the We Are E family when it was "born". They were searching for young, fresh artists and I was playing a lot in and around Amsterdam at that time. The thing I missed the most was guidance, which I luckily found at We Are E. Glad that we found each other :)

Any cool future projects or other news you would like to share with our readers?
In the future I would love to focus more on my producing skills and ofcourse continue DJ ing untill I've seen the world!
