Balans Recordings drops a brand new dubtechno EP from The Parallel...

Balans Recordings, operating from Nijmegen, NL and run by Darko Esser gets progressively better with every release, and its latest is represented by Irish dubtechno producer Colin McKeown. Opening track Symmetrical fuses Detroit beats with otherwordly dub fx, generating an extremely druggy flow coated in a typical techno format. Great vibe, awesome build-up, huge track. Up next is Univeral, a less abstract piece of Vince Watson-esque techno while not leaving out on the dub factor, after which Odyssey closes things with an extremely hot groove full of depth, warmth and a few acidy bits near the end.

Our verdict:
Balans proves to be right on the money when it comes to delivering dubby techno for club purposes.
