Roger Sanchez - Release Yourself 10

Album Review -
Roger Sanchez celebrates 10 years of Release Yourself in the form of a special anniversary compilation featuring the likes of Rene Amesz, Franky Rizardo, Cajmere and the S-Man himself amongst others. Any good?
Over the course of 10 years, Release yourself has grown out from a club night to a multi-faceted platform including a worldwide radio show, podcasts, and many more. “10 years of Release Yourself has made me fall in love with House Music even deeper. The 10th Anniversary is a reflection of my continuing love affair with what I call house music and its explosive effect on my dance floor. “ This new compilation reflects Roger’s current vision on house music, and we can’t say anything else than that the man still knows what’s hot and what’s not these days.
Across fourteen tracks, Roger puts his energetic house sound on display, starting with his own track together with Far East Movement: 2Gether, in a remix from Blacktron ft. Antione Clamaran. The mighty Something Going On by Frok & Fitch vs. Todd Terry is a bit deeper but unmistakably Sanchez, after which the ride gets a bit bumpier (in the good sense of the word) with tracks such as The Chant (by Baggi Begovich), and the chunky El Golpe by Erich Ensastigue, Carlos Guerrero & Cachon. Biggest tune here comes in the form of the very catchy Percolator (Mixin Mark & Lex Da Funk remix) by Cajmere, a tune built around a repetitive melody that should do the business in any club.
Across the entire mix, Roger keeps things very sexy and powerful at all times, creating a suave house mix with a great drive and a very cool twists here and there. In other words, the S-Man delivers again, which should be enough reason to get this mix now.
