Forever Delayed - Forever Delayed

imageAlbum Review -

Staffan Linzatti is best known for his  pumping techno tracks, but on his debut LP as Forever Delayed he moves beyond this sound and explores the facets of deep and ingenious soundscapes. Interesting,,,?

5 years ago Staffan Linzatti debuted on Pickadoll records and since then he has been releasing a string of club-orientated minimal and techno LP's on labels including Stockholm Ltd, Synewave and District of Corruption. He has one earlier release as Forever Delayed entitled Rotter EP, which dates back to 2007. Using this alter ego he was able to be more introspective in his sounds than usual: "It was a way for me to shut out the outside world," he says. He has now readied his first long player, which includes 13 tracks, all previously unreleased and we are definitely curious how Linzatti's world looks like when he shuts everything else out.

The CD starts out with Say Hello To The End, which is quite an awkward title for an opening track. Listening to this first track it immediately is clear Staffan has moved beyond the classic dance floor like structures of tracks. It's emotional, deep and beautifully structured. A textual conception of a track which applies for the album as a whole.

All of the tracks are beautifully arranged and truly take you on a voyage beyond reality. It's the ultimate way of relaxing and allows you to make a journey inside your mind. The soundscapes really allow you to make your own visualization to the music. Not a CD to listen to while driving your car or in a club, since it actually asks something from the listener as well. You really have to take a seat, sit back and take it all in. After you've done it you will be grateful.

Staffan himself sais about the album " Two human earth years later my world was there. Now the blank sheet I started out with is filled with my vision, a sonic vision of the many places, unbound be space and time, I would like you to explore. A foundation upon which new creations, visions and emotions can be imagined and sprung to life, ultimately making them a part of our own individual reality. Shift your thoughts towards what you feel and let your imagination inspire you.” Something I can only agree with, sit back, press play and let it move you in a abstract sense instead of the usual physical sense.
